Manager, BizOps
Job Overview
As the Business Operations Lead, you will act as the operational “engine room” for the company - translating strategy into execution, surfacing business insights, driving performance metrics, streamlining processes, and enabling REalloys to scale with efficiency and discipline. You will partner across functions (Product/Technology, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, GTM/Commercial, Finance) to ensure the business is aligned, data-driven, and executing on its growth ambitions.
Key Responsibilities
- Data & Market Intelligence
- Establish and maintain the company’s “single source of truth” for key business metrics: operations, manufacturing throughput, cost of goods, margin, supply-chain resilience, sales pipeline, and commercial KPIs.
- Monitor external market intelligence: rare earth production dynamics, magnet material pricing, competitor benchmarking, critical‐materials policy/regulation (US/Canada).
- Create dashboards and reporting frameworks for senior leadership (weekly/tracker, monthly review).
- Business Analytics & Performance Management
- Translate strategic goals (e.g., production ramp to 500 t/yr in 2026, 1,000 t/yr in 2028 per REalloys’ roadmap) into measurable objectives and OKRs across functions.
- Conduct performance reviews (MBR/QBR) with cross-functional stakeholders: manufacturing, supply chain, sales, finance.
- Identify variances, root-cause issues, and drive corrective action plans to ensure the business remains on track.
- Business Expansion & Scale Projects
- Support strategic initiatives: new product launches, facility ramp-up, geographic expansion, vertical integration for rare earth feedstocks.
- Lead cross-functional execution of key projects: e.g., process improvements, cost reduction initiatives, implementation of enterprise tools/systems (ERP, BI).
- Evaluate trade-offs and business cases: pricing model changes, entering new verticals (defense, aerospace), M&A or partnerships.
- Process & Operational Excellence
- Document and optimize core business processes across functions (commercial quoting, order-to-cash, supply chain planning, manufacturing release).
- Drive automation and standardization to improve speed, visibility, and control as REalloys scales.
- Build a culture of continuous improvement, data discipline, accountability.
- Stakeholder & Change Management
- Serve as the “glue” across functions: facilitate alignment between Strategy, Engineering/Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Finance, and GTM.
- Communicate insights, progress and risks to leadership in a clear, actionable manner.
- Champion change initiatives (tools, processes, metrics) and drive adoption across the organization.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of operations, business planning, or strategy experience (ideally in manufacturing, industrials, or critical materials supply chain).
- Strong quantitative skills and experience with analytics/BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker, Excel modelling).
- Demonstrated ability to turn strategy into execution and operational plans; comfortable working in high-growth, dynamic environments.
- Experience in manufacturing / supply-chain planning / operations in complex industrial environments is a plus.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication and change-management skills.
- Proven track record of driving process improvement and operational scalability.
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
